2-hour walk, 12 Noon—2 p.m.
Long period of generally overcast conditions; then the sun came out for a while.
Zabulon Skippers often engaged each other, whirling higher & higher.
Also, many daytime moths, such as the Grape Leaffolder moth, Large Lace-Border, & the Clover Looper Moth.
Emergence of the beautiful Ebony Jewelwing Damselflies: Males have all-black wings but brilliant green metallic bodies. Similarly green metallic: Six-spotted Tiger Beetles, also out!
