Butterfly landed on branch in the middle of a large flowering manzanita patch near hiking trail and quickly flew away up the slope when disturbed. Only one individual seen. Partly cloudy day with temperatures in the low 70’s F and occasional showers. Elevation ~8300 ft on North Fork Big Pine Creek hiking trail.
