Pendleton County, WV
Forest Route 112 and Briery Gap Road. Sunny, in the 50s. Two of the West Virginia Whites were in an area with abundant garlic mustard that had no garlic mustard when I visited the area in 2012. These individuals repeatedly landed on and nectared on the garlic mustard. The remaining five West Virginia Whites were at higher elevations where there is no garlic mustard at present. The Cabbage White was seen in a highly disturbed area at the base of the mountain.
