Parnassius smintheus, Anthocharis sara julia, Callophrys affinis are some of our local species. One alba form of the Colias philodice is always a treat. Trail is easily accessible and open to the public. 7,600 ft in elevation through dry meadows and Ponderosa Pines with many puddles that bring the butterflies.
