Sun with scattered clouds and 61° at 3:30pm. We’ve had several weeks of overcast, rainy weather and cool temperatures. The sun broke through the clouds this afternoon and warmed the backyard, so I checked for autumn Nymphalidae. I had a brief sighting of a Mourning Cloak that fluttered along the cottonwoods beside the creek behind the yard, and then disappeared among the trees on the opposite bank.
