Cloudy, light breeze at times, mid-70s. Always a great location to find a large number of grass skipper varieties - particularly marsh/wetland species that are otherwise hard to find. Overall skipper numbers down this year…not sure if it is due to the dry conditions recently or today’s cloud cover? Still a good number of different species…happy to find a handful of Dion Skippers present along with a single Mulberry Wing. A good number of the Tiger Swallowtails appeared to be Eastern x Canadian hybrids/intergrades - I labeled them all as Eastern in the tally.
