Trail to and including Lower Bigelow Lake in Oregon Caves Natl Monument
Josephine County, OR

This has been a delayed season for butterflies. There has been continued cool weather periodically this spring and early summer. This was a count for the monument in the lower section, the road and Lower Bigelow Lake. 3 other sections were also surveyed this same date by other groups. A Moss’s elfin was found at the meadow by Upper Bigelow Lake by one of the other groups, unusual this late in the year.
