New Sighting
Sunny and 68° with mostly still conditions from 6 to 7:10pm. A beautiful evening with a Swainson’s Thrush singing throughout my session from lower down the hillside. Perfect butterfly conditions but less activity than in the past couple of weeks at this location. The flight season for Large Marbles seems to have ended here, and the remaining Milbert’s Tortoiseshells look very faded and worn. Piles of bear scat left near the parking area on my last couple of visits duly noted.
