Sighting for May 22, 2022

Sunny and still at 59° from 12:20 to 1:30pm. This mountain pass at 900’ elevation is still mostly snow-covered. Only small hillocks and some distant south-facing slopes were free of snow and these haven’t begun to green yet so no pollen sources were visible. In addition to the reported Milbert’s Tortoiseshells, a small white fluttered by overhead but didn’t pause so went unidentified.
