Sighting for May 6, 2022

Beautiful sunny afternoon with butterflying from 1:40pm at 51° until 5pm at 54°, with a light breeze. In addition to those butterflies reported I saw two Milbert’s Tortoiseshells while walking to and from the park. Those in the park were bustling along trails through the woods and along the powerlines. I walked up a small wooded hill and found two Tortoiseshells squabbling on the trail just below the summit and a Mourning Cloak sunning itself on the ground at the top.
