New Sighting
first-of-year Falcates (2 seen simultaneously at one point, near summit). Also first-of-year American, and Painted Ladys (one of each) at the summit, but only appearing after 2 pm for hill-topping behavior. The Azures seen were presumed spring; bright-blue in flight, not seen perching. Temp. was up to 60 F., with bright sun and a moderate wind from the southwest. Not that many nectaring-plants around, but some.
