Obs. made from 12:10 and 4 p.m. part sun changing to mostly cloudy with a brief shower at 3:30. Temps reached about 80. Had a brief encounter with a fresh Milbert’s Tortoiseshell just before the rain shower. Tiger Swallowtail numbers extremely low for this location. Besides those posted I had 2 or 3 additional ones not conclusive as to Eastern v.s. Canadian. Silver-spotted Skipper would prove to be the only spread winged skipper observed today.
