Piedmont National Wildlife Refuge
Jones County, GA

1000-1200, 81-88F, SW 1-3MPH, Cloud Cover 26-28%. Bright sun, blue sky with white puffy clouds, halcyon type day. Georgia Piedmont, pond edge, large open marsh area, mixed forest, gravel road. 33.09178538162844, -83.71956842367356

I searched in an area about 1.5-2 miles in circumference. Spent much of the time looking through ankle to chest high grasses, sedges, etc. Saw only one snake. Pulled out one tick in spite of copious amounts of deet and permethrin.
