Restored mesic palmetto flatwoods qith hammocks, regularly burned.
Palmetto Skippers are tough to find so it was a delight to find two. The photo was taken by crawling under the Elephant’s Foot plant and shooting upwards.
Kudos to Hillsborough COunty for a superb job of habitat restoration and protection on all 66 of its natural areas.
