New Sighting
Known location for King’s Hairstreak, which feeds on the (relatively) abundant sweetleaf (Symplocus) in the adjacent wet forest and swampland. Very early visit, 8:30 am under light clouds and cool (low 70s F) temperatures. Heavy dew. Sun broke out at approximately 8:45 am. Few or no nectar sources available. In the field for approximately one hour.
