Forest Park
Queens County, NY

12:45 - 1:15 PM, sunny and humid, high 80s.
In this summer of the Snout in the Northeast, I guess it shouldn’t be too surprising to finally get one in my local park. But seeing at least seven in a small section of the park in a short time sure was! In fact, it was the second-most common butterfly, after Cabbage White.

  • Eastern Tiger Swallowtail 2
  • Spicebush Swallowtail 1
  • Cabbage White common
  • American Snout 7
  • Red Admiral 4
  • Silver-spotted Skipper 1
