What a wonderful treat! In all my years of butterflying, I have never had any luck with Hairstreaks in west Michigan. The other day I was watching a Great Spangled Fritillary and I happened to see a little butterfly land on a branch not to far away. I was more than excited to see once I got a bit closer that it was a Striped Hairstreak. This is a rather rare find in Michigan and I was very happy to see it!
