It warmed to 93 with a heat index of 101 today. We started at 78 degrees at 10 am. All the Sparkleberry blooms are dead. King’s and other pollinators are dependant on a precious few blooming Sweet leaf (host for King’s Hairstreak). It is VERY difficult to see them in the tiny blooms along the stem of the branches. The Great Purple was our FOS but flew before we got a shot. We also had an unidentified duskywing.
