Baltimore Checkerspot
New Sighting
We were surpised and elated to come accross our very first Baltimore Checkerspots ever on June 21 at the vernal pond in the central wetland of the Big Meadow in Shenandoah National Park. These two were siphoning nutrients from the damp mud. So cool! Observed by Mara Meisel and Rick Frederick.
