Numerous stops along Skyline Drive. Parts of the area also in Greene, Albemarle, and Augusta Counties. Two Appalachian Azures seen egg laying on Black Cohosh. Open-wing basking also observed — a fairly common behavior for this species. Eight unidentified azures also seen.
